My Experience

My name is Joey and I am very grateful to be clean of major amounts of methadone and fentanyl patches. I got hooked to opiates at the age of 25 due to a knee injury. I have been in and out of treatment centers since. I was absolutely miserable. I had accomplished all these things in my life and yet there was not enough opiates to fill the void. I am 36 now and very grateful to have done the Ibogaine.

My experience with Ibogaine was not what I had expected. It was an encounter with the god, the universe or whatever you want to call it. I arrived in Mexico on December 3. The doctors took immediate care of me. They winged me off the major dose of Methadone I was on and after a few days, I was given the Ibogaine. I was full of fear and began to cry as it was administered. The doctor stood right by me.

I was full of shame and guilt. After I took the Ibogaine a sense of peace began to overcome me. Next, a buzzing sound started to come in with millions of voices behind it. Soon after a star dust light began to easily flow out of the ceiling, down the wall and over my bed and into my chest. The minute the light went into my chest I felt this warm feeling come over me. Ibogaine was showing me how much I was loved and how everything was going to alright. My journey during the Ibogaine consisted of that sparkling white light. Also, within the light were different faces from the past who would talk to me. I felt that I had gone to heaven and God was showing his presence in my life. The ceiling in the room lifted away to show me how our universe was endless and all powerful. It was overwhelming. I know now that I can make it without opiates. The Ibogaine gave me the willingness to start a new life.

For a couple of weeks I was real tired and could not sleep. I had some physical ailments as a direct result of my drug abuse that had to be addressed. It was hard but I just held on and knew that it would get better. I also knew that I needed support in order for me to stay clean. I immediatley found a support group, therapist, acupuncturist and a chiropractor. What Ibogaine mostly gave me was the innerstrength to go through what I had too and no matter what, I would and will not pick up opiates. Bottom line is that Ibogaine will show you the way out but you
must take the action in order to stay clean.

Today I am doing great. My life is changing slowly but surely. I will never forget my experience with Ibogaine. For anyone thinking of doing it and have battled with addiction, I highly recommend this sacred plant and these two wonderful Doctors. God Bless.
