Oxycontin Business Man

My story is very similar to many people; I am a successful businessman, father of 3. My first encounter with opiates was at age 25 when they removed my wisdom teeth; at that time they prescribed Vicodin. The feeling of inner warmth and calm that I felt was something that I had never felt before. Six years later I was prescribed Oxycontin for back pain and took it for months, when I tried to stop I suddenly was very sick with flu like symptoms. At first I thought it was the flu but my Doctors said that I was physically addicted and needed to detox myself or get on methadone. Since I was not willing to get dependent on methadone and I cannot spend the weeks of downtime caused by going cold turkey I looked for alternatives. On the Internet I found out about ibogaine and was a bit concerned about the psychedelic effects (having never taken one before). The experience was very insightful and I left with the knowledge that I didn’t need any more opiates. It has been 10 days and I feel great!
